Bay Area Women’s Summit

Identity for Bay Area Women’s Summit, 2018.

Founded by the late San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, the Bay Area Women’s Summit provides participants with the opportunity to engage in an impactful and action-oriented day to craft new policy solutions, create new networks and explore tangible solutions to improve the quality of life in the region.

The 2016 Summit drew an audience of nearly 1,200 women and men committed to gende equity and justice. The December 4, 2018 Summit, which will be hosted by the new mayor of San Francisco (determined June 5, 2018), Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, is expected to draw 1,500 to Moscone Center West in San Francisco.

This project included a graphic identity, typeface, color palette, photo treatment style, favicon, social media icon, tagline, styleguide; proposals for event signage, slides, and name badges; and a visual prototype for the webpage.

Special thanks to Leigh Oakies for the referral, and to Catherine Schriber for being so great to work with on this project.

Evergreen banners were created with the conference site, Moscone West, in mind.

Step and repeat pattern.
The Bay Area Women’s Summit logo grows from the bottom up in a composition, or “breaks the ceiling” by running off the top.
