A Place for Everything
A Place for Everything That Doesn’t Have a Place is a title and concept for a zine-as-container for content which has no home or no “place” of belonging. In this execution of the concept, headlines featuring the words “tears” or “crying” are juxtaposed with images from a library Picture File of people crying in fictive and non-fiction situations. The book becomes a reflection on what public displays of distress were acceptable, historically, both in journalism and in pop culture.
