Everything Must Go!
One part exhibition, one part yard-sale, and one part party, this event provided a unique community of artists the opportunity to sell their work. RISD Northern California Alumni group (RISD NorCal) creates opportunities for social and professional connection between alumni of RISD living in the Bay Area (this event was for RISD alum and friends). The conceptual frame fit both the site and RISD NorCal, unified the presentation of many dispirate makers, and created visibility for club members.

My Role
As co-leader of the club, I conceptualized the event and curated the participating artists and designers, worked with Envelope A+D to secure custom tables made by Julian Paul, secured funding for the donation of chairs, created the graphics, promoted the event and hired a photographer to document the day.

Submission Guidelines“We welcome submissions of work that relate to the idea of impermanence, the temporary, the fleeting, being present, seizing the moment. All submissions must be ‘for sale’, transactions will be cash-only, and artists will keep 100% of sales made.”

Above: Sarah Jesse provided participants the opportunity to listen to two places at once.
